Track Record & Expertise
BCMS’ experience in the IT sector covers a range of disciplines, from IT infrastructure services, systems integration and business process outsourcing (BPO) to software products and specialist IT services, covering a variety of sectors from education to defence.
One company offering IT services focusing on ITSM solutions to a broad spectrum of blue chip organisations was acquired by an AIM-quoted software and IT services company. The seller had a profit before tax of just £339k. The sale environment was made highly competitive when the BCMS Prospect Generation Team introduced the opportunity to 284 UK and overseas prospects. This resulted in 35 companies signing non-disclosure agreements and a range of offers from the lowest at just £1m to the highest offer and eventual sale price of just over £6.5m.
In a separate deal another seller was involved in the provision of IT solutions, technical services and training services to single living accommodation, namely student halls and key worker employees (Doctors/nurses) accommodation etc. The company was acquired by a complementary business operating in the armed forces sector in the provision of similar services. Again a competitive environment delivered 318 initial prospects in the UK and overseas, resulting in 25 showing serious interest, and offers ranging from the lowest of £758k to the highest of £4.1m. The seller had a profit before tax of just £224K.
Yet another deal saw a company specialising in the design and implementation of IT infrastructure solutions with an operating profit of just under £90k sell to a company involved in systems integration, networking and security, and other managed services for a £1.5m price tag. The lowest offer was just £750k but the higher price was secured by BCMS as a result of initially contacting 327 targeted prospects, generating an astonishing 57 non-disclosures signed, followed by meetings with 16 interested parties.
Space does not allow us to fully describe deals done where the offers for one company with a profit after tax of just £24k achieved a sale price of £1.35m, another with offers on a company making a profit of £398k ranging from £5m to an eventual sale price of £14m, or still another where the offers on a company making a profit of £143k ranged from £900k to £1.8m.
